Getaways are a network of vacation homes managed by Cherry Blossom Vacations. Participating vacation homes will offer a no-cost stay (or stays) to adoptive, foster, and special needs families who apply with CBV. Stays can be offered throughout the year for up to a week at a time. Since beginning in 2023, we have matched 8 families with Getaways stays.
Why? Using donated time at existing vacation homes helps us fulfill our mission of giving no-cost vacations to families that need a break while we are fundraising to purchase our own vacation home. It also allows us to offer other locations for families across the country to make travel easier and provide new experiences.
What are the requirements of a vacation home owner who would like to donate time? It is as easy as the following four steps!
-Connect with our Getaways volunteer Alicia by email at [email protected] with basic details about your home and the amount of time you would like to donate.
-Complete our CBV Network Donor form with details and pictures of your property. If selected as a network home, work with CBV to determine the number of stays you would like to donate, insurance/liability information, deposit and cleaning rates, and the dates to be offered.
-During the stay, be available or provide details for CBV guests for arrival and departure and for emergencies as you would with an AirBnB guest (a CBV volunteer will also be available to assist you as needed during our guest’s stay).
-After stay is complete, submit cleaning expenses to be reimbursed by CBV. A CBV
volunteer will contact you after your guest’s departure to confirm the stay went as
expected and follow-up on any items that did not.
